St. Viator’s first fish fry was held on Friday, February 16. It was from 4-7 pm.  It was sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.

It was a full house and there was plenty of good food to go around. Each meal consisted of one piece of fish either baked or fried, one piece of fried salmon, French fries or a baked potato, and cole slaw.  There were tons of desserts, some homemade and some store bought, but all very delicious!

Abby Hartz, 7B, said “The desserts are so good and so are the potatoes.”

There was also a raffle. It was a 50/50. The tickets were 6 for $5 or $1 a ticket. There were games for kids such as a bean bag toss, a ring toss, and a face painting station!

Gabriella Aiello, 5B, said “My favorite thing here is face painting!”

Liberty Leano, 8B, said,”I like the games a lot. My favorite game is the bean bag toss!”

RhiAnna Cardinali, who is involved with fish fry and started the family activities said, “We look forward to fish fry every year. It brings together our St Viator family!”

Eric Cardinali donated 40 cases of Pepsi. He is the Key Account Manager for the company. He donated because he believes the fish fry is great and has a nice purpose “No better way to spend your Friday night than going to fish fry!”

Rosy hartz said,”The meaning behind the fish fry is to bring all of us together during Lent to have a meal.”

Overall, our first fish fry of the year was great! There is a fish fry every Friday of Lent, so come to the St. Viator Parish Center and join the community for a night of fish, family, and fun!
